Today I’ve put together a packing list of must-have items for anyone preparing a Disney World trip. I’ve only included the things that made me think “this is truly essential!” on my own trip. Go through it like a checklist before you leave! ✨
✅ Wet wipes & tissues
In the US, many places don’t hand out wet wipes and tissues by default the way places in Korea do 😢 They’ll bring some if you ask, but it can take a while, so bringing your own is much more convenient! Especially when you’re eating in the parks, spills and sticky fingers happen all the time.
I brought pocket tissues – they look tiny, but each sheet unfolds to a normal full size, which was really handy. The ones I used were a pack of premium mini portable wet wipes and Hanyeji Play pocket tissues.
✅ A sun-and-rain umbrella
Orlando is famous for sudden downpours. It’s great if there’s somewhere indoors nearby to shelter for a moment, but if not, a compact folding umbrella that works for both rain and sun is a must-have! During the day the sun is really strong, so it’s handy as a parasol too.
I used an ultra-light mini umbrella that fits right in my bag (a Comet 5-fold mini umbrella with 99.9% UV protection that doubles as a parasol), and I used it constantly throughout the trip.
✅ Power bank
Disney app + checking maps + photos + using your phone while waiting in line = battery gone in no time… A power bank is a must-have you really can’t do without.
I used one that supports wireless charging plus USB, USB-C and Lightning (8-pin), and it even shows the remaining battery level, which was super convenient. Mine was a THOUSTA 20,000 mAh MagSafe-compatible power bank with built-in cables.
✅ Water
Orlando is much hotter than you’d think! Water is fairly pricey in the parks, so be sure to carry a 500 ml bottle of water with you. You can also have bottled water delivered to your Disney resort in advance – check out the post below for how!

✅ The Disney app
I recommend installing it before you leave so you’re comfortable with it. Things you can do in the app:
- Check attraction wait times
- Mobile order food & book table-service restaurants
- Check where your PhotoPass photos were taken
- Park map & directions
- Book Lightning Lane for attractions
If you want to make the most of Disney World, the app is truly essential.
✅ Comfortable shoes
Walking around Disney World all day, you’ll easily pass 10,000–20,000 steps. Absolutely no pretty-but-painful shoes! Bring sneakers that don’t hurt your feet even after walking for a long time. I recommend testing them out at home before you leave.
✅ Disney ears
Everyone wears Disney ears, so you’ll actually feel more out of place if you’re the only one without them! If you buy a pair in advance, your photos in the park will look so much cuter :)
✅ Autograph book
At character meets you can take photos and also collect autographs in an autograph book. Each character has their own unique signature, so collecting them one by one is a lot of fun. It really brings out the Disney spirit! If you’re curious what the Disney autographs look like, check out the link below.
