Baseball fever in Korea is real right now ⚾ Tickets for popular teams are getting harder and harder to grab, and in this post I’m sharing my experience at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, Seoul’s best-known ballpark.
Jamsil is the home stadium of both the LG Twins and the Doosan Bears, and this time I went to LG Twins games three days in a row! I’ve put everything in one place so first-timers can follow along easily: how to book, discounts, tips for catching cancelled tickets, seat views and food. 🙌
📍 Stadium Location
👉 19-2 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul (Jamsil Baseball Stadium, 잠실야구장)
How to Book
1️⃣ Booking Online
You can book through the LG Twins website or Ticketlink.
✔ Sign up with LG Twins, then book on the website or app (booking fee: 1,000 KRW per ticket)
👇 LG Twins ticketing page
https://www.lgtwins.com/ticket/general
✔ Sign up with Ticketlink (a Korean ticketing site and app), then book on the website or app (booking fee: 1,000 KRW per ticket)
👇 Ticketlink LG Twins page

- Tickets go on sale 7 days before the game at 11 a.m.
- Up to 8 tickets per account
- You can cancel until 4 hours before the first pitch
- From the day after booking, a 10% cancellation fee applies, and partial cancellations are not possible.
2️⃣ Discounts
LG Twins offers discounts for U+ members (LG U+ is a Korean mobile carrier):
✔ “Excellent” tier (우수) members: 2,000 KRW off
✔ VIP members: 3,000 KRW off
(1 ticket per day)
And here’s a perk a lot of people don’t know about 👀 On the last Wednesday of every month, Korea’s “Culture Day” (문화가 있는 날), you can book outfield seats (Green seats) at 50% off. Great if you want a budget-friendly game!
3️⃣ Tips for Catching Cancelled Tickets
LG has a huge fan base, so tickets are tough to get… so once again I went for cancelled tickets!
LG has a cancellation waitlist service that you can sign up for at 12 p.m. on the day tickets go on sale. When a sold seat gets cancelled, people on the waitlist get the chance to book it in order of their place in line. Since it’s first come, first served, joining the waitlist quickly (just like regular ticketing) gives you a better chance.
In my experience, Navy seats rarely come up because few people cancel them, while Red seats came up fairly often. Note that Table seats, Orange seats (the cheering section) and Blue seats can’t be waitlisted. For these you have to catch cancellations yourself, which Korean fans call “chwiketing” (취케팅, cancellation ticketing).
From catching cancelled tickets many times:
✔ Between 5 and 4 hours before the game on game day
👉 This is the key window when the most cancelled tickets are released!
✔ Some also appear the evening before the game
👉 but the chances are lower.
So if you have a seat in mind, keep refreshing the booking page regularly 😊 And remember: once it’s past 4 hours before the first pitch, no more cancelled tickets will appear!
4️⃣ Seating Map

The stadium is split into infield and outfield, and the infield seats are broadly divided into table seats and cheering seats 😊

My Game Day Review

LG Twins tickets feature player photos, so they look really nice if you print them as paper tickets 😊 They make a great keepsake!
I went three days in a row, and these were my seats:
- 3rd-base Navy seats, block 327 (row 11, seat 108)
- 3rd-base Red seats, block 224 (row 11, seat 113)
- 3rd-base Navy seats, block 328 (row 7, seat 74)
Here’s what the view was like from each seat 🙌
1️⃣ 3rd-Base Navy Seat View (Block 327, Row 11) – Day 1

This is the view as it appears in a photo. It looks a bit far in the picture, but photos make things look smaller than they really are. What I actually saw felt more like the photo below.

The scoreboard was easy to see, and since we were close to the cheering stage (응원단상, the platform where the team’s cheer squad leads the chants and songs), the atmosphere was fantastic 😊 Especially when our team was at bat, almost everyone stood up to cheer!

“Jjuni hyung” (쭌이형) threw the ceremonial first pitch that day!

The cheering stage on the 3rd-base side
I could also see the pitcher throwing really clearly 👍

Until about 7 p.m. this spot gets quite strong sunlight, so make sure to put on sunscreen and bring a hand fan or a cap to block the sun ☀️

The struggle to escape the scorching sun…
2️⃣ 3rd-Base Red Seat View (Block 224, Row 11) – Day 2
The Red seats felt a little closer to the field than the Navy seats 😊

This is the view as it appears in a photo. Photos make things look smaller than they really are, so what I actually saw felt more like the photo below.

The cheering stage was close by on the right, so it was a great spot to enjoy the cheering atmosphere! In this section, about half the people stood up to cheer and half stayed seated. Think of it as a middle ground between passionate cheering and relaxed watching 👍

This spot also looks like it would get sun, but it was cloudy that day so the sunlight wasn’t strong.
3️⃣ 3rd-Base Navy Seat View (Block 328, Row 7) – Day 3

This is the view as it appears in a photo. Photos make things look smaller than they really are, so what I actually saw felt more like the photo below.

I was really happy with the view from block 328 too. Both scoreboards were easy to see, and I could follow the pitcher’s movements quite clearly!

Because it’s right behind the cheering section, almost everyone stood up together to cheer whenever our team was at bat 🔥 I recommend it if you want to cheer your heart out and soak up the real game-day atmosphere!

4️⃣ Handy Item for the Ballpark
Jamsil is so popular that table seats are really hard to book unless you have a season ticket 😭 That means in seats without a table, there’s often nowhere to put your food. This time I tried a mini folding storage box (Misoday Shop mini folding box), and it was much more convenient than I expected.

It was especially handy when I had nowhere to put chicken or drinks, and I could keep all sorts of things in it. When it was time to stand up and cheer, I just picked it up and put it under my seat, which was super convenient. Bring one along and your game will be much more comfortable!
5️⃣ Public Transport After the Game
The Jamsil Sports Complex (잠실종합운동장) is so well served by public transport that it was actually easier than coming by car 😊
I left either just before the game ended or about 15 minutes after it finished. The buses were relatively quiet, and the subway was busy but not as packed as Seoul’s rush-hour trains 🚇
Food and Drink Map
1️⃣ Food and Drink Inside the Stadium
There are lots of shops and restaurants around Jamsil Baseball Stadium, so many people bring takeout food in with them. Of course, there are also plenty of food and drink stands inside the stadium! The map below, made by the Korean blog “여행과마음” (Travel and Heart), makes it easy to find the stand you want.

That’s it for my LG Twins game day review at Jamsil Baseball Stadium! Jamsil is scheduled to be rebuilt, so there isn’t much time left to see the stadium as it is now. If you love baseball, I really recommend catching a game here this year ⚾🍻
