Space 220 Restaurant Review at EPCOT: Dining on a Space Station
- Lunch for four adults came to $318.78 with tip: a great space experience, but low value for money
- If you can get a Lounge reservation, just go for a cocktail and light bites instead
- Best picks were the fried calamari and the burger; skip the dry, bland pad thai

In this post I’m sharing my visit to Space 220, one of EPCOT’s most popular restaurants. It’s a themed restaurant designed to feel like you’re stepping aboard a space station for a meal 🚀
Two ways to book
Space 220 can be reserved in two forms:
- Space 220 Restaurant: a regular table-service restaurant
- Space 220 Lounge: a lounge for cocktails and light bites
The place is known less as a “great food” spot and more as a unique experience of being in space. Prices are fairly high and opinions on the food are mixed, so I originally planned to book the Lounge. But even though I logged on right when reservations opened, the Lounge was already full! 😭 So I ended up booking the Restaurant instead.

It really feels like you’re entering a space station
🚀 The Elevator Ride Up to the Space Station
When you go in, they hand you a boarding pass, and then an elevator ride begins the story of “leaving Earth and traveling up to the space station.” Screens on the ceiling and floor of the elevator show Earth and space, so it genuinely feels like you’re lifting off.

Goodbye, Earth…
🌠 Inside the Restaurant
The dining room is decorated like a real space station, and all the windows are screens. Through them you see Earth drifting away and astronauts floating by, which really makes it feel like you’re eating in the middle of space. We went at lunchtime and the tables were already full.

Astronauts float by every so often

🍽️ How the Menu Works
Space 220 runs as a set course. Each person chooses one appetizer and one main. (There were four adults in our group, so we ordered four appetizers and four mains.)

🛸 Lift-Offs (Appetizers)
- Starry Calamari: fried calamari
- Blue Moon Cauliflower: fried cauliflower
- Centauri Caesar Salad: Caesar salad
- Andromeda Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: wagyu carpaccio
The fried calamari was the best of the appetizers! The fried cauliflower was surprisingly good, and the Caesar salad was fine. The carpaccio, thinly sliced raw beef, was a little chewy, which was disappointing.

🌟 Star Course (Mains)
- Gemini Burger: burger
- Rocket Flame-Seared Tuna: tuna
- Space Pad Thai: pad thai
- Interstellar Steak & Frites: steak and fries
Of the mains, the only one I’d skip is the pad thai 🚫 If you’re expecting Southeast Asian pad thai, you’ll be disappointed. The noodles were dry and the flavor was bland — not to my taste. Everything else was good overall, and the burger was the best 🍔
The fries portion was big, so we had leftovers. If you ask your server whether you can take food to go, they’ll give you a paper box and a bag. We packed ours up and enjoyed it for breakfast the next day 😋
🍹 Drinks
On our server’s recommendation we ordered two Starship Lemonades. They were refreshing, and the sparkly ice matched the atmosphere perfectly.
🛬 Return to Earth!
Classic Disney storytelling! When you finish your meal, you ride the elevator again, just like on the way up, and this time it plays out your return to Earth. They really took care of every detail to keep you immersed 🌍✨
💸 Price & Final Verdict
Our total was food $268.38 + tip $50.40 (18%) = $318.78 (about 450,000 KRW) 😱 Disney prices really are out of this world…
Honestly, as a “space experience” it was excellent, but the value for money was low. So if you manage to book the Lounge, I’d recommend just enjoying a cocktail and some snacks there.
That wraps up my EPCOT Space 220 review.
